Bored with bread toast and omelet?  Try this new Quick Tuna recipe with bread, eggs, tuna, and mozzarella cheese. Add some of your favorite spices with and spice it up as you want! Cheesy Tuna Patties / Tuna Turnover with potato bread is best for kids’ breakfast and school tiffin box. Also, perfect for a lunch bag and afternoon snacks! It’s a great alternative of tuna sandwich that everyone likes. I will bring you my unique tuna sandwich recipe, that’s even better than subway tuna sandwich.

I used potato bread for this recipe, but any bread can be substituted for this Tuna Pie.




Just these few ingredients make that yummy cheesy tuna fish turnover with very simple effort!

Ingredients:

Potato bread (or any kind of bread)

Tuna Fish – 2 cans

Carrots - ½ cup

Onion – ¼ cup

Cilantro – 2 tablespoons

Potato 1 (Medium)

2 Eggs

Salt to taste

Tomato ketchup – 1 tablespoon

Coriander powder 1/8 teaspoon (optional)

Mozzarella Cheese - 1 cup

 


Making process:

Fine chop half of the carrots, onion, and cilantro.

Cut the sides of the bread.

Roll and flatten the bread slices.

This will prevent from soaking oils when deep frying

Open 2 cans of tuna and drain the water.

Stir fry the carrots, onions, and cilantro in 1 tablespoon butter.

Add salt to taste, 1/8 tsp coriander powder (optional)

Add the drained tuna and fry for 2-3 minutes,

Add the remaining carrot, 

Add 1 tbsp tomato ketchup and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add 1 medium boiled potato (mashed) and mix it together.

Let it cool down while crack in 2 eggs in a bowl,

Sprinkle salt and beat the eggs to mix the yolk and protein together.

Now, take 1 piece of flattened bread and

add about 1 tsp mozzarella cheese, 2 tsp of tuna

brush egg on the border and fold the bread to make a triangle.

Seal the open edges by using fingertips.

Repeat and make as many as possible.

Add 1 tablespoon milk and 1 teaspoon sugar to the remaining egg mixture.

Mix until the sugar is dissolved.

Now coat the tuna turnover with egg mixture, then dip fry.

Repeat and fry them till it turns golden brown.

Use kitchen towel to soak away extra oil from frying.

Serve hot with blue cheese or buffalo dipping sauce.
